The Procedure

The Procedure
by: John B. Juat

Little angels by the playground
Their voices gentle, making a sweet sound
Joyfully playing round and round
They're all alone, not a parent could be found

Warmth of human blood, suddenly grows cold
The unborn is not even given a chance to grow old!
These little ones are helpless but more precious than gold!

Though the procedure is only very brief
Is it really worth all the grief?

Innocent unborn die from 'the procedure'
People who would have had a good future
Victims of grave mistakes, love impure
Those who think pregnancy is a disease to cure

Unborn babies have a powerful voice
Speaking from within “Make me your choice”
Helpless and powerless, they make a silent noise

You'll be disturbed by your child's silent scream
Speaking to you constantly in your dream

Abortion is always a poor decision to make
It's a reality that we cannot fake
Once the life of your child you take
Only when it's too late will you realize you've made a big mistake

Thoughts of a Troubled Mother, and the Unborn's Reply

 Thoughts of a Troubled Mother
By: John B. Juat

This pregnancy is giving me so much stress
I've made a mistake; I've made a huge mess
Since I'm not ready to suffer the consequences
To abort my child is the only option, I guess

It's my body, it's my life, I should be free to choose
People may not agree, but I have my own views
If I take away the life of an unborn, what is there to lose?
I believe that not being ready is a reasonable excuse

It's okay if my own child I decide to kill
Anyway each of us are given free will
At least I'll have one less obligation to fulfill
At least I'll have one less mouth to fill

This has been such a huge burden on me
If i continue this, I will no long be so happy
Sickness, weakening, discomfort brought about my pregnancy
If i continue this, I will no long be free

It will be pointless to let my child live
Because there is absolutely nothing i can possibly give

Dearest mama, I'm sad to see you so troubled because of me
But I hope you will allow me to see the earth's beauty
Please mama, take me home, and let me be a part of your family
Where I will experience abundant joy, love, and harmony

Choose me, mama; allow me to grow in your womb
Nourish me with love; please don't let this be my tomb
You may be scared and worried, I can easily assume
But let me live, mama, in this world there's so much room!

I am precious and beautiful; I am not filthy mud
I am meant to be this perfectly bloomed rose, though I'm still a bud
What don't you understand, mama? I am more than just blood
I am already being formed in the image of our Loving God

Let me live even if there are countless worries, it may seem
Let your love flow to me like a free-flowing stream
I have so much potential in me, I am capable of living my dream
So open your heart, open your ears, mama; listen to my silent scream

Listen to me carefully, mama, please hear my plea
Accept me, love me, and respect my dignity
Ask for guidance, mama, that you will clearly see
I am meant to be with my Creator someday for all eternity

Mama, I hope you understand how much I love you
It's an immeasurable kind of love that i assure you is true
I am a treasure, a gift, a blessing; I will make your life new
Please give me this chance, mama; I hope you love me too

Mama, I do not need power, fame and abundant money
Love me wholeheartedly, mama, it's enough for me

NO TO RH BILL!!

NO TO RH BILL!!
John B. Juat

Why is there even a Reproductive Health Bill?
Making available condoms, IUD, and the so called "pill"
It is against justice, against rights, and against free will
Money is what they want; who cares if the unborn they might kill?

What seems to be so wrong with pregnancy?
A pregnant woman is completely normal and healthy
To bring forth life is a result of true charity
The power to procreate is a great gift God has given humanity

This particular bill will degrade a woman's self-worth
Making her believe that it is a disease to give birth
Women were designed for this as to fill the earth
Not to be selfish and invest on what will prevent birth

Respect, respect, respect the human body
It is created by God, and thus we have dignity
If people will understand a person's sanctity
Why then desecrate the temple of utmost beauty?

This destructive bill should have no place in our country
It will only make things worse by destroying the family
By twisting values and taking away the concept of morality
Before we know it, we would have already lost our Filipino identity

This bill is not about protection of women, their rights and health
It's all about lust, greed, selfishness and unjust wealth

IF YOU TRULY LOVE ME, PATIENTLY WAIT

IF YOU TRULY LOVE ME, PATIENTLY WAIT
John B. Juat

I can see you love me; I can feel your heart burn
I know that to be with me, you deeply yearn
But don’t rush things, my dear, there’s so much to learn
It’s not an easy and quick step, you have to discern

Time flies way too fast; let’s slow things down a bit
Are you ready to support a family? Are you fit?
Are you sure that right now you are ready to commit?
Because once you make that decision, there’s no such thing as “I quit”

Are you man enough to accept me wholeheartedly?
Are you willing to help bring up the children God will grant me?
IF you are after our future, and not only my body
Then wait for me, my dear, wait for me patiently

Are you already capable of being a father?
If you are not yet ready, then why bother?
First you have to build your character
Before we can live happily ever after

If you truly love me, patiently wait
For our moment to unfold – our perfect date
Trust me, love, it is never too late
That’s because I’m worth it. I’m worth the long wait

If indeed your love for me is sincere
Wait for me patiently and have no fear
It may be difficult; you may have to shed a tear
But endure it for me; it’s worth it, my dear

Even if it may be very difficult to understand
Make your choice firm; Make a stand
Wait some time; I hope you try to understand
When the time comes, I will take your hand

It’s a dreadful process; it’s a bumpy ride
I know just how painful it is deep inside
But endure it for me and I’ll always be by your side
For all eternity as soon as I say “Yes. I’ll be your bride”

It is tough because I want to be sure
That your love for me is true and pure
If all these sacrifices for me, you endure
I believe that together we’ll have a good future

Trust in God that someday, together we will be
Working hand in hand, we will raise our family
If you improve yourself first, you will understand clearly
God will be the one to write our perfect love story
